Basecamp Multiproject Search Script

This greasemonkey script is for 37signals' Basecamp product (see install below). Basecamp has a search capability that is limited to searching within a single project. When you need to search for something across all of your basecamp projects it is a real pain to have to go into each project to issue the search. This greasemonkey script addresses this issue in the following ways:

• It inserts a new basecamp search box as shown below:

• When search terms are added to the search box and the go! link is clicked the search will read all of your projects listed on the right column.
• It issues a synchronous search request (using XMLHttpRequest) over each project in the project list.
• Search results (inside the search wrapper div) are plucked out and presented in a list of unified results in a popup window. see, eg.

The window above shows the multiproject results along with one of the result references open in a new tab.
